What the public never sees
The public pages are designed so that a document found lying on a seat, or a QR code photographed at a truck stop, gives away nothing useful to a thief. This page lists what each one shows, and what it never shows, so you can answer a trader's or an officer's question with confidence.
The rule behind it
- A scan reveals no more than the document already shows, and never anything live.
- Where the goods are, and where they are going next, is shown only to the parties: the declarant and the consignee, who prove it with their TIN.
- Everything about the goods themselves (names, values, commodities, the guarantee amount) is shown only to the administrations on the corridor, signed in to the console.

The Track page's Download the document hands the declarant or the consignee the full Transit Document, as printed. That is the same paper they already hold, so it reveals nothing new to them.
Why a QR code opens so little
A QR code can be read by anyone with a camera, from a photo, at any distance. If it opened the corridor, it would tell a stranger which country the lorry is heading for next, which is exactly where to wait for it. So the code proves the document is genuine and nothing more.
Why nothing opens on a serial number alone
A serial number is made of the departure country, the office, the date and a counter that runs in sequence. Anybody could guess the next one. A page that answered on a serial number alone would let anyone read every declaration on the continent, one after another.
Why a wrong TIN and a wrong serial look the same
When the Track page cannot match what you typed, it says No match, whatever the reason. If it said "wrong TIN", it would confirm to a stranger that the serial number is real. The same answer, in the same time, for every failure, tells them nothing.
